How to Accept or Decline a Trip Assignment through Email

As a driver, your district may allow you to accept or decline trip assignments. This article walks you through that process.

When you are assigned to a trip, an email is sent and delivered between 6:00 p.m. EST and 7:00 p.m. EST.

The message will be similar to the screenshot below, and you will have two options: Click to ACCEPT Assignment and Click to DECLINE Assignment.

You can also see a summary of the trip details, including the Trip Location, Date, and Pickup and Return Times.

Decline Assignment

Using the Click to DECLINE Assignment link will open a window in your device's default browser.

If you choose to decline the trip, you will be required to give a reason for the decline. Once you have typed your reason, you must click Submit. You will receive a confirmation in your browser that you've successfully declined the trip.

Accept Assignment

Using the Click to ACCEPT Assignment link will automatically accept the trip assignment and open a confirmation message in your browser that you've successfully accepted the trip assignment.
