Common Filtering Options for Admins

Finding Field Trips from a Specific School

Let’s start with locating Field Trips from a specific school in your district. As an admin, you can see trips for all schools in your district, so it may be helpful to filter this list down. Navigate to the Trips Tab.

Use the “Filters” Dropdown menu and select “Trip Type” – “Field Trips.” Trip Type categories are customizable in district settings. Your district may have different Trip Type options.

Next, go to “Filters” – “Location” and select the school you want to see field trips for.

Your trip list will now only show Field Trips from the selected location. The number in the top left shows how many trips fit the selected criteria. You can apply additional filters, like “approved” or “pending approval.”

To clear this filter, click the X in the search bar.

Filtering for approved requests from a specific school, then for a vehicle type and destination.

Go to “Filters” – “Location” and select the school you want to see trips for.

Next, go to “Filters” – “Status,” and select “Approved.” This combination of filters shows only approved trips for the selected school.

In addition to these filters, we can look for trips that use a specific vehicle type. Go to “Filters” – “Vehicle Type,” and select whichever vehicle type you want to see approved trips for. In this example, we’re selecting “Long Bus.” Vehicle Types will vary by district. You may not have the same options as in our example.

You can also filter trips by a specific destination. Go to “Filters” – “Destination,” and select the appropriate trip destination. In this example, we’ll use Lancaster County Central Park.

Your trip list will now only show approved trips from the selected location, with the same vehicle type and destination selected in your filters. The number in the top left shows how many trips fit the selected criteria. You can apply additional filters, like “approved” or “pending approval.”

To clear this filter, click the X in the search bar.

Setting the date range for past dates

When you access the Trips tab, it default to filtering for “Upcoming” trips or “trips from this day forward.” You can filter for past trips. Go to “Filters” – “Date,” and select “Date Range”

Select the date range for which you’d like to see trips, then click “apply.”

Your trip list will now only show trips within your selected date range. The number in the top left indicates how many trips match your search parameters. You can apply additional filters to narrow down your criteria.
