The Trip Events Setup Table categorizes each Trip Event into a specific Trip Type. A different Mileage Rate Per Mile and Driver Rate can be set at the Trip Event level. You can select a Trip Event as the default for Trip Types.

Creating a New Trip Event
To create a new Trip Event, click "Create Trip Event" toward the top right of the Trip Events page.
Name your Trip Event and assign it to the appropriate Trip Type.
Default Event
Setting an event as the "Default Event" for a Trip Type will cause the Trip Request Form to auto-populate with that specific Trip Event when the corresponding Trip Type is selected.
Requestors can still select a different Trip Event even if a Default Event is set.

Override the Driver Rate:
If you want to override the Driver Rate for a trip event, check the box to the left of "Override the Driver Rate" and fill out the appropriate rate.
This will override the rate set at the Driver level in the Driver Setup Table.
Deleting a Trip Event
To delete a Trip Event, check the box to the left of the Trip Event name on the Trip Event list. A red "Delete Trip Event Button will appear at the top of the screen. Click this button.
Trip Events can only be deleted if no active trips are assigned to the Event.
