Setting the Overnight/Out-Of-State Trip Question Label
The Overnight/Out-Of-State trip question is essential on the trip request form because it determines the approval flow of the trip.
For example, suppose you need a particular approval level or board approval for only Out-Of-State trips and not overnight trips. In that case, you could change this label to reflect that and set the appropriate approvals based on this question.
When a requester enters a trip, they must always answer this question.
This question is called the Overnight/Out-Of-State question, regardless of your label.
Setting the Overnight/Out-Of-State Trip Label
To set the Overnight/Out-Of-State question label on the Trip Request Form, click in the top right-hand corner of your webpage, where you will see the half-person icon. From the drop-down menu, select settings.
On the left-hand side of the settings page, use the drop-down menu to select “Trip Request Form” and then “Labels.”
On the Labels page, adjust the wording in the “Label to be used on the request form for Overnight/Out-Of-State option.” This is a simple text box. All you need to do is delete or type to make any changes.
Once the label is adjusted to your district’s standard, click “save.”
Example from a Requester's point of view:
In TravelTracker-Field Trips, this question defaults to “no.” The requester must change the answer to “yes” if it is an Overnight or Out-Of-State request.
